Antique Georgian style chest of drawers in mahogany, a small and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship and beautifully figured veneers. The chest has four long graduated drawers, each with a lock and fitted with oval stamped brass plate handles, and the drawer fronts have cockbeaded edges with crossbanding to the dividers. The top is crossbanded in a contrasting lighter timber with a reeded edge, and the chest stands on a reeded plinth moulding over a shaped apron and splayed bracket feet. The mahogany displays a stunning flame figured grain to the drawer fronts and a warm, rich colour with a lovely mellow patina. Presented in good condition commensurate with age.
