Description
This is an antique keepsake case. An English, burr walnut jewellery or organiser box, dating to the late Victorian period circa 1880.
Eye-catching with high appeal from exceptional figuring, that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Beautiful burr walnut stocks with fine grain interest. Warm caramel hues throughout present a dashing appearance.
Fascia replete with inlaid lock escutcheon — untested, key absent. Opens to quartet of compartments with distinctive shaped divisions. Standing upon a quartet of scrolled toes in dark stained mahogany.
This is a superb antique keepsake case, with delightful figuring and rich in colour. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
