Early 19th Century English Georgian antique oil painting on board portrait study of man playing Jews Harp attrib to Sir David Wilkie RA. Attributed to Sir David Wilkie R.A. (1785-1841) - artist's name on frame but actual portrait is unsigned. "David Wilkie is an artist born in Scotland (United Kingdom) in 1785 and deceased in 1841". Provenance on reverse "Sir David Wilkie, Jews Harp". Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a man in a tamoshanter playing a Jews harp with child.
