Antique Perfume Scent Bottle Ruby Red & Gilt Ormolu Mount Palais Royale

On offer is this fabulous and rare antique French Napoleon III era ruby red glass & gilt ormolu scent / perfume bottle standing 14.5 cm in height and with a maximum diameter of 8 cm. This fine antique perfume bottle is made of ruby red glass and is covered in a reticulated gilt ormolu casing with four circular porcelain plaques hand painted with slightly differing floral motifs. The bottle is fitted with a scalloped hinged lid with beaded border and set to the top with a metal dog. This wonderful French antique perfume bottle is offered in good condition with no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body. The gilt ormolu mount has no missing or lifting pieces. One of the porcelain plaques is cracked as shown and the neck rim of the bottle has some fritting. This is a superior antique scent bottle for the discerning collector.
