Antique Three Drawer Telescope Brass and Leather

A fantastic three-draw telescope in brass with stitched leather barrel, leather end caps, shoulder strap and adjustment buckle, the eyepiece has sliding shutter, the front section has a sliding sun shade, comes with additional leather cased eyepiece, and is inscribed to first draw 'Reconditioned for John Barker & Co Ltd, Kensington W5 by Broadhurst Clarkson & Co''. A superb quality military type telescope closely related to examples issued to British snipers during WW2, retailed by John Barker & Co of Kensington in association with the renowned optics firm Broadhurst Clarkson & Co. Good antique condition, good optics with lenses intact and clear, age related surface tarnish and minor dents and knocks to metal body, leather in good intact condition with expected signs of age and wear, the wider end leather cap is no longer a tight fit, one of the interchangeable eyepieces is missing its sliding cover, please see detailed photos provided.
