A fantastic Edwardian era telescope gunsight made by William Ottway in brass, very heavy, marked 4388, W. Ottway Co, Orion Works Ealing w, Dr Commons Patents, 1902, and a few other marks. I trust these type of telescope gunsights were used on the gun turrets of British Royal Navy ships.
Great opportunity to own a piece of military history that is still very usable today.
Good antique condition, lenses are intact and clear, age related surface tarnish and minor dents and knocks to body including small dent at the top of tube, please see detailed photos provided.
Approximately 51.5cm long, end metal rim diameter 5cm, and weighs 3.6Kg.
Happy to answer any questions and provide more photos if requested.
