Gerald Phillips is a contemporary artist who lived and worked in St Ives, Cornwall in the 1960s-1970s. This serene oil painting is almost certainly of the Cornish coast, and most probably in or near St Ives, where the artist did most of his work. Signed by the artist lower left.
