Large Early 20th C. Scratch Built Tinplate Steam Boat Model

Evocative early 20th Century scratch built steam boat, hand crafted from tinplate and retaining its original painted finish. Constructed with a practical yet characterful design, the model features a tin hull with a deep red painted deck, sheet metal superstructure, rudder, propeller and protective propeller guard, all displaying the honest craftsmanship of a skilled amateur or workshop builder. The boat is fitted with its original oscillating steam engine and vertical boiler, demonstrating the ingenuity of early model engineering. The internal mechanism appears substantially complete, making it an excellent display piece for collectors of vintage steam models or industrial curiosities. Whether still operational has not been tested and it is therefore offered as a static collector's item.
