Original Unique Sculpture 'full Circle' by Mike Leman

Michael started training as a woodcarver in the early 50s and after a spell in the Air Force graduated to modelling architectural ornament, sculptural projects and decorative restoration of historic buildings. Mike went to St Martins and Sir John Cass part-time, and City & Guilds full time for three years. He joined John McCarthy, sculptor designer, in the mid 60s and for the next 25 years produced art works from coats of arms to abstract designs, mainly for city banks, insurance companies etc., including light & water features which were mainly site specific. During these years he was a part-time lecturer at the Guildhall University, formerly Sir John Cass School of Art, teaching 3D design and sculpture. His work is both figurative and abstract. Ten years ago he became President of the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers, exhibiting twice yearly in London. The sculpture weighs 9 Kg.
