Description
Gordon Hales was born in 1916 in Matlock and studied at the School of art. He painted in oil and watercolour with the ships, sea and the Thames being his favoured subject matter. He was a member of the RSMA, RBA, the Wapping Group and the Langham sketch club.
This fine quality atmospheric watercolour off a harbour scene is absolutely typical of his work and standard. Signed and dated.
Framed in a hand finished moulding.
