Pocket Watch Chain Fob Queen Victoria Commemorative 1887 Large Antique Fob

Victorian Gentleman's large and highly impressive pocket watch chain fob to commemorative the 60 year Reign of Queen Victorian. C ~1897. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 5cm height (including the top ring), 3.9cm width and weighs a heavy 17.2 grams. Wonderful large circular fob depicting in great detail Queen Victoria to the front and is stamped around the circumference in slightly raised script; VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX (Latin for Empress, adopted by Queen Victoria after She was proclaimed Empress of India). The back is heavily detailed with the Royal Cypher to top, acanthus leaves and swags to base and is clearly stamped to centre (again in slightly raised script); VICTORIA 1837 - 1897. Carries a little initial to base; H - possibly the maker. Large robust secure steel top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with some expected overall wear/patina/surface scratches commensurate with age.
