R Robert Art Deco Amber Glass Lidded Compact - French

Here we have a delightful small round Art Deco French compact, surmounted by a beautifully crafted piece of relief glass in the style of Lalique. The metal casing appears to be brass, but may have been previously plated or a vehicle for further decorative embelishment. The border of the glass carries an integral signature, we believe of R Robert. The contents of an internal mirror is in good condition for its age.
