Victorian Silver Plated Glass Claret Jug c.1900

This is a wonderful Victorian (c.1900) glass and silver plate claret jug, very much in the form of an elegant Amphora with a band of central flute cutting, it has a silver-plated cap with a poring rim to the front and a flip lid. An elegant Acanthus leaf handle to the rear. Circular silver-plated foot, fully marked on the base as James Dixon and Son of Shefield, Epbm, with the trumpet being used from 1835-1920.
