Vintage Industrial Bank of 59 Metal Drawers

Vintage bank of drawers consisting of a heavy plywood frame holding 59 small metal industrial drawers, 48 of which are around shoe box size, with 11 smaller ones above. They look to have been made in the 1950s or 1960s, probably: they have their original bronze colour paint, bar five that have been repainted. The carcass has been made later and painted blue at some point, rather agriculturally, to be honest. Its shelves slope backwards slightly to hold the drawers in. We've made a top plank for it out of a piece of antique mahogany, which gives it a more elegant look, we think. It'll easily unscrew if you don't like it. We've put no finish on the top at all: partly because the colour is such a good match as it is, but also in case you want to paint it. We'll happily oil it if required but it will get darker.
