I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop at 26 High St Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Description
A fine etching of a late 19th or early 20th century sailing ship, probably a merchantman, at anchor in the port of London. One can see St Paul's Cathedral in the distance and cranes in the docks.
Charles Edwin Flower (1871-1951) was born in Surrey and studied at Royal College of Art. He was a painter,of topographical and maritime scenes, a graphic artist, an illustrator and a wood engraver. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy from 1899. He also worked for the London postcard publisher, Raphael Tuck & sons for 40 years. In 1907 he moved to Warborough, near Wallingford and lived there until his death in 1951, which makes this work of local Oxfordshire interest!
