A superb and visually striking set of three antique wooden centrepin fishing reels, beautifully presented on a bespoke display stand, and stamped “Eton Sun – Made in England.” This is a rare opportunity to acquire a complete graduated set that perfectly captures the craftsmanship and heritage of early 20th-century British angling. Each reel is individually hand-crafted from richly toned hardwood, likely mahogany or walnut, and fitted with brass star-back plates, central spindles, and ebonised handles. The three reels are arranged in ascending size, creating a wonderfully balanced and sculptural display that elevates the set beyond functional tackle into a true decorative statement piece. The reels retain their original character, with visible grain, honest wear, and a warm patina developed over more than a century. The brass fittings show gentle ageing, complementing the wood beautifully and reinforcing their authenticity.
