Description
Fine quality etching by Roland Jarvis. Good sporting works of this period are rare and this is a great example.
Roland Jarvis studied at Chelsea school of art under Henry Moore and Ceri Richard's, 2 of the great painters and sculptors of the 20th century. He won a travelling scholarship to Paris and lived there from 1956-59, where he was influenced by the Cubist and Surrealist movements which is very evident in his later works. He exhibited widely including the RA. A documentary film was made about him for 'Timelines' by filmmaker Mark French.
