Erik Buch (1923–1981) was a renowned Danish industrial designer known for his organic, functional Mid-Century Modern furniture. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he is best known for the iconic Model 61 bar stool (1961) and Model 49 dining chair. His designs often feature sculpted teak, oak, or rosewood frames with upholstered leather or fabric seats.
