ANTIQUE JEWELLERY, FURNITURE AND OBJECTS CURATED BY CONSERVATION AND GEMMOLOGY SPECIALISTS IN GUERNSEY AND LONDON
After years immersed in the dynamic world of London’s antique scene, we felt a call to return to Guernsey, to a quieter, more reflective place where we could cultivate our own vision. Our approach is founded on a deep respect for the history and craftsmanship of each item we encounter, but also an understanding that the antique world must evolve to remain relevant in today’s ever-changing landscape. We are committed to bringing both knowledge and passion to every interaction, ensuring that our clients are as informed as they are inspired by the pieces they acquire.
'Terrou' is the Guernésiais word for 'Always' - a word which resonated strongly with us. We believe antiques should be both appreciated for their heritage and embraced for their ability to contribute to the beauty and functionality of modern life. Our collection represents not only the history of fine jewellery and furniture but also a bridge between past and present. We work with clients to help them see that antiques are not merely relics of the past but treasures that can compliment and enhance the spaces and lives of today.
At the heart of our mission is the desire to make the antique world more accessible and approachable, while preserving the standards of knowledge, care, and expertise that have defined it for centuries.
We invite you to explore our collection, where tradition meets innovation, and where every piece tells a story.

Description
A charming and atmospheric 19th century winter landscape oil painting by G. Salvi, depicting a horse-drawn sleigh crossing a snow-covered countryside beneath the warm glow of a setting sun.
Painted in oil on panel, the composition centres upon a traditional windmill surrounded by bare winter trees, their delicate silhouettes standing stark against an amber and rose-coloured horizon. The artist has captured the quiet stillness of a winter evening, enlivened only by a solitary sleigh making its way across the frozen landscape and a scattering of birds wheeling overhead.
The painting is presented in what appears to be its original gilt composition frame, whose rich patina and gentle wear complement the age and character of the work beautifully. Untouched and retaining its original surface, the painting displays the mellow tonality and soft atmosphere so often associated with late nineteenth and early twentieth-century European landscape painting.
A wonderfully evocative decorative picture, equally at home in a country house interior, period property, or layered contemporary setting where its warm winter palette can provide a striking point of contrast.
