ANTIQUE JEWELLERY, FURNITURE AND OBJECTS CURATED BY CONSERVATION AND GEMMOLOGY SPECIALISTS IN GUERNSEY AND LONDON
After years immersed in the dynamic world of London’s antique scene, we felt a call to return to Guernsey, to a quieter, more reflective place where we could cultivate our own vision. Our approach is founded on a deep respect for the history and craftsmanship of each item we encounter, but also an understanding that the antique world must evolve to remain relevant in today’s ever-changing landscape. We are committed to bringing both knowledge and passion to every interaction, ensuring that our clients are as informed as they are inspired by the pieces they acquire.
'Terrou' is the Guernésiais word for 'Always' - a word which resonated strongly with us. We believe antiques should be both appreciated for their heritage and embraced for their ability to contribute to the beauty and functionality of modern life. Our collection represents not only the history of fine jewellery and furniture but also a bridge between past and present. We work with clients to help them see that antiques are not merely relics of the past but treasures that can compliment and enhance the spaces and lives of today.
At the heart of our mission is the desire to make the antique world more accessible and approachable, while preserving the standards of knowledge, care, and expertise that have defined it for centuries.
We invite you to explore our collection, where tradition meets innovation, and where every piece tells a story.

Description
A wonderfully atmospheric late Victorian coastal study by the British painter Sarah Louisa Kilpack, depicting a ruined fortress perched against a turbulent shoreline beneath a brooding sky. Executed in oil on card with expressive, fluid brushwork, the composition captures the drama of the British coast with remarkable economy and movement.
Kilpack was known for her marine and landscape paintings, often focusing on weather-beaten coastal scenery and romantic architectural ruins. Here, figures gathered at the water’s edge lend both scale and narrative to the composition, while the broken surf and shifting grey-blue sky create a distinctly moody maritime atmosphere characteristic of late nineteenth-century British painting.
The work is presented within a gilt frame beneath glass, retaining a softly aged mount that complements the painting’s tonal palette and period character.
A highly decorative cabinet-sized painting with excellent interior appeal.
