Vintage Kigu Bouquet Powder Compact Novelty Figural Flower Basket Circa 1940

Vintage Kigu Bouquet powder compact dating circa 1940. The compact is in the form of a flower basket complete with hinged carry handle. It is made of gold tone metal with pretty machine turned pattern. The lid has a deep domed cut, and faceted lucite top enclosing within a bouquet of silk flowers and foliage. The interior is cream celluloid] with glued glass mirror under the lid. ]The compact retains its original clean sifter and fluffy lambs wool and silk backed puff. The case measures 3.5 cm in height excluding the carry handle and is 5.5 cm in diameter This charming novelty powder compact is offered in very good condition with no dents or dings to the case. The gold tone metal has no discolouration and there is no damage to the lucite top. The interior is clean and the mirror is clear and reflective.
