Cows in Woodland, Painting by Gordon Clifford Barlow

An oil painting by Gordon Clifford Barlow (1913 - 2004) showing a group of cows grazing in sunlit woodland. The painting is signed and is well presented in a decorative gilt frame, with the artist’s label to the rear. Gordon Clifford Barlow lived and worked in Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales, and most of his paintings are of rural landscapes in Yorkshire and elsewhere. He studied and later taught at Bradford School of Art. He exhibited at galleries in London and across the country. Including the frame, the painting measures 64.5cm wide, 54.5cm tall, 5cm deep. The image size is approximately 49.2cm wide by 39cm tall.
