Item of the Week - Art Nouveau Necklace Pendant

In terms of jewellery, necklaces are thought to be the oldest piece of jewellery, originally made from rocks and shells they have evolved over time to become exquisitely decorative pieces of body art. Antique necklaces can instantly elevate an outfit or can simply be a statement in its own right, adding personality and flair to an otherwise ordinary wardrobe.

Art Nouveau Necklace Pendant -


This exceptional Art Nouveau turquoise and seed pearl necklace, is made from 18 carat gold and its design features a scrolling panel, it hangs from two links either side of the necklace. The natural turquoise cabochons and seed pearls are all round and are extremely eye-catching. The penchant is 4cm across and the chain is an overall length of 44 cm.

The necklace was made during the Art Nouveau period of 1890 to 1910; it is being sold by F K Antiques for £580.
