Item of The Week - William IV Chaise Lounge

By all accounts, we spend approximately one third of our lives sleeping; that’s one third of our lives in bed and one third of our lives in our bedroom, so it’s important that your bedroom is a comfortable and tranquil space. And to achieve that tranquillity you’ll want to opt for neutral, soft colour schemes & décor. We may just be able to help you create this look.

Our Item of The Week is this wonderfully glamorous William IV Rosewood Chaise Lounge. We think you’ll agree that it simply oozes sophistication and will most definitely help to transform your room in to a sublime Boudoir fit for purpose.

This superb 19th Century Antique chaise dates from 1835 and has been lovingly restored and brought back to its former glory after being French polished and fully re-upholstered.  It is elegant in its design and is beautifully shaped with stunning curves & carvings. The juxtaposition of the deep mahogany frame against the cream fabric ensures that you are getting a statement piece without it being too bold.

Of course, you may not wish to sleep on this, but it is of sturdy construction, is in excellent condition, and looks rather comfortable. Situated at the foot of your bed or next to a window perhaps, this would make for a rather inviting spot to relax and curl up with your favourite novel, and would help to create a perfectly tranquil setting for you to drift off in to a blissful slumber.

This stylish Chaise Lounge is being sold by Marylebone Antiques for £2,250
