Item of The Week - Antique Diamond & Gold Solitaire Ring
It’s February folks, which can only mean one thing………. Valentine’s Day is on the Horizon. Yes, the most Romantic Day of the year is almost upon us, so for those of you considering taking the plunge and popping the ‘Big Question,’ let us offer some assistance. We have, of course, chosen an Engagement Ring for this weeks ‘Item of The Week’, so feast your eyes on this beauty…..
Here we have a very attractive and eye-catching Antique 1.16 carat Diamond and 18 carat Yellow Gold, Solitaire Ring with an 18-carat White Gold setting.
Choosing the right Engagement Ring is of paramount importance when you consider that this ring is a symbol of your unity as a couple and is intended to last a lifetime, so when choosing the ring you may want to consider some key factors, namely the 4 C’s; that’s the Colour, Clarity, Carat and Cut of the Diamond.
The large Diamond on this ring is rated ‘G’ in colour, which is near colourless (the more colourless the rarer the stone), and is noted to have a clarity of ‘VS1’ meaning that the diamond has very slight inclusions/imperfections that are only noticeable under magnification. The weight of the Diamond is a whole 1.10 carat, which is a lovely sizeable stone and the cut of the Diamond is a traditional ‘Old European round’. This Beautiful Diamond sits elegantly in an eight-claw White Gold setting and is supported by 3 smaller Diamonds on either side.
But aside from the technical factors, let’s not forget to mention the wonderful and striking overall appearance of this ring and its contrast of the Yellow Gold against the White Gold. So, if your loved one favours the more modern look of White Gold but also has a love for classic Yellow Gold, this ring ticks all the boxes!
All in all, this beautiful ring is sure to set your loved one’s heart fluttering and given that it’s over 100 years old (dating from c.1910), it’s unlikely to be something you will see in your High Street Jewellers either. By bestowing this upon them, they will become a part of this rings history, which will hopefully continue to be passed down through the generations.
This stunning ring is being sold by AC Silver and can be yours for £5,950.
