Item of The Week - Pair of Tall French Parquetry Round Side Tables

When it comes to interior design, you may be the sort of person who likes to follow the latest trends, or you may well be a trend setter yourself. If you’re the latter and you like to try out different styles, then our ‘Item of The Week’ may interest you. This week, we have chosen this Pair of Tall French Antique Parquetry Round Bedside Tables.

What we loved about these when we stumbled upon them, was that they aren’t identical, and they’re not the sort of furniture you see very often in a typical home nowadays. These attractive tables are also slightly unusually as they are round, rather than the more typical square or rectangular shape that we are used to seeing, and therefore wouldn’t look out of place in various locations around the home. This interesting pair could easily serve as Lamp tables, side tables or drinks tables.

Made in France, circa 1900, these stunningly decorated parquetry tables are crafted from walnut and sit on slender tapered legs. One of them is open, allowing you 2 tiers to place items on, whilst the other is in a cabinet form with a hinged door, allowing you to hide away more personal items. Each unit is in original but good condition and displays their original brass mounts and marble tops.

These striking, stylish tables with their geometric mosaics of wood pieces are 87 cm high and would undoubtedly make a wonderful addition to your home.
