Item of the week - Large Florentine Beaded Chandelier c.1920

Chandeliers convey opulence and luxury and none does it better than this large Florentine beaded chandelier made in 1920. The chandelier is sure to make a statement in a room with its large gilt chandelier and abundance of octagonal buttons, French slabs and large pear drops.

The chandeliers frame is emphasised by a row of faceted beads, which run along the whole of the frame, defining its shape. There are eighteen lights in total to this chandelier and each feature the traditional bobeche drip pan, which holds a pear drop and a string of buttons.

The chandelier is 140cm in height and also one metre in width, it is being sold by Crystal Corner for £10,500. The price is reflective of the craftsmanship and size of the chandelier, from the bottom of the light fixture there is also a row of large French slab drops hanging and a large smooth ball.
