A bone china tea cup and saucer produced at the Staffordshire factory of Goodwin and Bullock around 1855. Both pieces decorated with groups of hand-painted summer flowers reserved within gilt wreathes. The saucer bears the hand-written pattern number, 186, in dark red.
The cup stands 2 inches high and measures 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The saucer measures 5 3/4 inches in diameter.
Roger Stretch Antiques has clarified that the A Goodwin and Bullock Tea Cup and Saucer, C.1855 (2319 / LA160656) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1855.
Both cup and saucer are in excellent, original, sound condition with just very minor wear to one or two small areas of gilding.
