Description

This tall and imposing sterling silver early Victorian coffee pot was made by James Aldridge and hallmarked in London 1856.

The lid closes perfectly and is topped with an ornate silver finial. It is made with a thick gauge of silver and the double scroll handle is firmly fixed and has 2 ivory inserts. Each of the 6 panels are beautifully engraved and there are 2 cartouches, one has scrolled initials the other now vacant but has been engraved.

This is a high quality silver coffee pot from a well respected Victorian silversmith.
