Description

This is a lovely pair of novelty antique sterling silver pepperpots hallmarked by J Collyer in Birmingham 1912.

They are modelled as old Guernsey milk cans and stamped "A P Roger, Maker, Guernsey". Adolfe Roger was a silversmith and operated a retail shop in Guernsey and sent silver pieces that he had made to Birmingham for hallmarking at the Assay Office.

The peppers are in very good condition with just a few minor surface marks. Both the lids and bodies are clearly hallmarked and the pull off lids fit perfectly.
