This is a fine example of a Victorian solid sterling silver salver with crisp hallmarks on the base date this to Sheffield 1899, with the maker's mark for Mappin & Webb. The salver is wonderfully plain, with no inscriptions past or present. It has a shaped ogee border and it is raised on three claw and ball feet. As one would expect, there are surface scratches, but they are light.
