Description

Hailing from the reign of George IV, it is very clearly hallmarked on the back of the handle for Dublin 1828, with the maker's mark of Samuel Neville.

The finial features a family crest of a lion rampant.

This is a good quality, solid sterling silver ladle.

Weight : 50 g - 0.11 lb

Declaration

The Silver Cabinet has clarified that the solid silver Irish ladle (C176 / LA10936) is antique and it's date/period of manufacture is 1828.

Condition

The silver is in excellent condition, with no splits or dents. This ladle has clearly been well used - there are a large number of surface abrasions - but it is in excellent condition given its age.
