Regency Rosewood Pembroke Table c.1810

Description

A beautiful and elegant pembroke work table from the Regency period. Made from solid rosewood and stunning rosewood veneers, this table is of classic design from the period. The pair of flaps lift up and are held in place by loppers to extend the top surface area. The elegant central column, splits into four scrolling and reeded legs which each terminates in the original brass caps and castors. The castors each bearing a stamp of the maker (a real sign of quality). A rare feature of this table is that the top row of drawers, are opposing short drawers, i.e. one opening to each side. The bottom drawer is a long drawer opening to one side only. This is quite a rare drawer configuration.
