19th Century Bow Back Childs Stick Chair In Elm & Footstool

Adorable Childs bow back stick chair in elm and it comes with a low dry finish painted stool. The chair is diminutive in size as you would expect of a small Childs chair, but full of character. The chair comes with a low dry finished stool with the remnants of a brown paint. The stool for such a small piece has the most incredible detail of twin cross stretchers, a little bit of an over kill as its so small, but nevertheless a charming detail to admire. Now I can only imagine someone making this for their child back in the 1800's, or maybe having it commission, difficult to know for sure. But it does evoke many thoughts. Who sat in it, was it for a daughter or son. Well it certainly brings a touch of charming history to your home with the classic bow back spindle styling.
