Description
Twin-drawer 19th century Chinese hardwood campaign desk.
Extensively hand-carved with depictions of dragons, auspicious symbols and twelve-petal flowers.
Slightly lower than a modern table as the scribe would have knelt whilst using. The trellis supports formerly folded underneath for ease of transport; they have now been fixed in position for additional support.
