This quality Antique Victorian Pendant features a Purple Paste stone entwined in a Rolled Gold lovers knot, decorated with an Ivy leaf.
Paste is a special type of hand cut glass which has been used since the 18th century to replicate Gemstones. The Paste stone in this piece appears just like an Amethyst.
Ivy leaves were used on jewellery to symbolise eternity, fidelity, and strong affectionate attachment, such as wedded love and friendship.
