An Edwardian glass jug and bowl set, topped with a solid sterling silver rim, with the addition of a silver spoon. The silver rim is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 and the spoon for Birmingham 1913. There is a little damage to the silver rim on the jug, as can be seen in the photographs, where is has been depressed slightly at the pouring point. The glass is in excellent condition - clear, faceted and unmarked, with a starburst base which is always a sign on quality. The spoon is decorated with a foliate design on the shaped handle and carries the maker's mark for William Suckling Ltd. A useful set for, maybe, whisky and ice? Strawberries and cream? Or just milk and sugar.
The Silver Cabinet has clarified that the Antique Edwardian Silver-Rimmed Jug and Bowl (LA320312) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1902
