Antique Georgian oil painting study of mother and son at The Old Manor, Abbots Morton, Worcestershire. English, Georgian or early Victorian, circa 1810-20. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on tin (have selected Oil on Board as nearest but it is tin not board). Ornate gesso frame. Depicts a mother putting a flower into her son's buttonhole for an occasion, and a pair of cats under the chair. This painting came from a country house in Worcs, believed to be The Old Manor at Abbots Morton. Size of gesso frame: 18.75 x 17 inches. Size of painting: 12.75x 10.75 inches Weight: 2.6 kg (allow 5.5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
