Antique mid Victorian oil painting on tin of injured soldier talking to grave digger. Scottish School, circa 1840-60. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on tin (but stated as oil on board as no specific category for oil on tin). Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 16 x 14 inches. Size of painting: 12.25 x 10.25 inches. Weight: 1.35 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).

condition
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some crackling to paintwork and some minor knocks to gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This is a genuine antique original and authentic work of art which I have had remounted in a period frame. I do not sell reproductions or fakes. Just for the sake of clarity, please note that this painting is not glazed.
