This is a large high relief carving in lime, with a shellac finish, by Scottish woodcarver and artist, Alan Lees. It was begun late in the 20th century when Alan was one of Scotland's foremost woodcarvers. Depicting a rather jovial Last Supper - Jesus and his disciples seem to be having quite a good time - It is an extraordinary and never to be repeated piece of work, that would suit a collector of fine carvings, as well as a religious foundation, church or similar. We're happy to arrange for a courier but please note that this is a very heavy piece and a valuable artwork.
