Description
This is a fine George Iii versatile mahogany fold over table from ‘Kilbucko Place’ by William Trotter, Edinburgh. Truly stunning flame mahogany, on a pedestal base with out swept legs terminating in a detailed brass castor.
William Trotter was one of Scotland’s finest and certainly one of Edinburgh’s greatest cabinet makers, whose distinctive furniture is recognisable by its style and excellent quality.
This table has had a split to the lower internally leaf although it is hard to see (we have photographed this look closely).
