We are a family owned antiques business based in North East England, on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne. Although we specialise in antique furniture, our range of antique clocks, ceramics, glass and metal ware are also quite comprehensive. Our showroom houses all of the antiques you see on our website and we encourage customers to visit us in person if at all possible. Our philosophy is “Excellence through consistent quality”; using his experience of the antiques trade Graham aims to provide customers with all the help and advice they may need in choosing antiques for home or business. All of the antiques we stock are sourced and personally chosen by Graham, who travels the length and breadth of England and Scotland in search of high quality antiques.

Description
A middle of the 19th century silver plated decanter stand and matching tray.
The stand rests on the silver plated tray that has a manufacturer's mark for Boardman & Glossop of Sheffield.
The square stand holds four cut crystal decanters, has a gadrooned edge and is raised on four scrolling acanthus feet.
The stand has compartments to hold the four round decanters and racks to hold the stoppers when the decanter is being used. The large handle is a magnificent scrollling acanthus.
The stand sits in the tray which has the same gadrooned edge, the tray can be used separately.
The four decanters are barrel shaped, have cut decoration and mushroom shaped stoppers.
Two of the decanters have sterling silver collars, which are a later addition, and silver plated Rum and Gin labels.
The stand, tray and decanters are in good condition, there is some wear to the Rum and Gin label's silver plating. (Circa 1850)
