Pair of George V Silver Candlesticks with Crenelated Rims

This pair of George V weighted silver candlesticks made by A.J. Zimmerman in Birmingham in 1929 are a pleasing plain cylindrical form with crenelated rims. They are 160mm high and 110mm wide at the base. Despite the odd bump along the way to the feet they are in good order. As you will see from the images the marks are slightly worn presumably due to zealous polishing over the years but this is reflected in the price. They retain a certain charm and are a true reflection of the silverware of the period.
