Description
Gorgeous and rare novelty scent bottle in the form of a violin and dating from the end of the 19th Century. This delightful piece is of Dutch origin and is decorated with Rococo motifs including flowers, foliage and birds. It has silver wire-work strings and a pull off silver and cork seal to the back of the body. There is an attaching ring to the top for a chain or chatelaine. The Dutch market specialised in novelty silver items and this wonderful example would make a welcome addition to any collection, or great gift idea.
