Rare Set of Three Silver Liqueur Label by The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, London 1913

This delightful and very unusual set of three small kidney-shaped silver decanter labels is dated London 1913 and made by the reputed Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company. It was most probably a commission set for a wealthy customer as the liqueurs are quite niche: Cherry Whisky, Benedictine and Creme de menthe, the latter complete with the French accent. The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd was a reputed High Street jeweller with Royal Appointments which was set up by William Gibson in London in 1880. They were situated in Regent Street, London W1. They amalgamated with Garrards in 1952. Hallmarks: G&Sco Ltd for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Lion Passant London Assay mark Date letters "s" for 1913
