Victorian Child’s Toy Pull Along Horse

This wonderful little Victorian child’s toy will make a great addition to a collection, or even a charming decoration for a nursery. It has a horsehair tail and the remains of a mane, and was built to be pulled along on four wheels, for which there is a hole at the front of the base to attach a string. It is painted white with black hooves, and has a decorative chain around its neck to represent part of a harness. Metal fixings on its back suggest that it may once have had a saddle. It is too small for a child to sit on and would have been designed for them to pull along themselves. Dating to 1880 to 1900, this is made of wood and originates from England.
