Vintage Blister Pearl Sapphire Ruby Diamond 14ct Yellow Gold Eagle Brooch c.1950

A magnificent, fine and impressive vintage blister pearl, 0.30 carat sapphire, 0.28 carat ruby and 1.28 carat diamond, 14 carat yellow gold and 9 carat white gold set eagle brooch; part of our diverse collection of bird brooches. This magnificent, fine and impressive gemstone bird brooch has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold with 9ct white gold settings. The brooch has been modelled in the form of an eagle in flight. The talons of the this stunning 1950s brooch are grasping a large, impressive blister pearl. The white gold head of the eagle is embellished with nineteen impressive pavé set eight cut diamonds, bordered to the lower portion with textured neck blend feathers. The head is further ornamented with a pavé set round faceted cut ruby, representing the bird's eye. The white gold setting further extends up one wing, incorporating nineteen eight cut diamonds within a scalloped border. The tail feathers of the bird are embellished with white gold set curvilinear pavé set gemstone arrangements, alternating between round faceted sapphires and rubies. The yellow gold portions of the brooch incorporate textured details, reproducing the eagle's feathers and anatomical features. The bird brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheath fastening. This magnificent brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 and 9 carat gold.
