Description

This is a good example of a 19th Century antique solid sterling silver cream or milk jug, from the late Victorian era.

Hallmarked for London 1896, with the maker's mark of Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson).

The handle is ribbed and angular, standing proud above the body of the jug, which has a slightly hammered finish. It is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the pictures is just a reflection of the camera flash.
