Mahogany Wardrobes were always among the grandest and best constructed pieces of furniture to be produced and were an invention of the 19th Century. These were expensive luxury items intended to be seen by guests and family and usually incorporated beautiful flame Mahogany veneers on the doors, top quality handles and fittings, with superb craftsmanship overall. Intended for the Master bedroom or Guest rooms, all sizes were naturally available from single door versions to Double Wardrobes as well as much larger triple Compactums. Internally each would be fitted out with a useful array of drawers and hanging spaces making them just as useful today as when first made. Since the Wardrobe is probably the largest item (after the bed) in the bedroom it is always worth going the extra mile when choosing one. Antique Mahogany wardrobes are an excellent choice as they bring a sense of character to any space.
