1930s Revue Pocket Watch

The watch has a good quality Swiss 17-jewel stem-winding movement with screw-set jewels, a Breguet hairspring and snail cam regulator. The movement has been identified as by Revue. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has signs of an old repair to the hinge, which is nice and solid. The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. Unusually the case is silver filled and it is “The Russsell” model by the Illinois Watch Case Company. With “The Russell” case, we would expect to see a signed Thomas Russell movement and dial so we can safely assume that this particular case and movement are not original to each other. The case is in good condition, just a small “ding” to the back, nothing serious at all. The watch glass has a few marks and a couple of short scratches but overall very acceptable. The dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a very faint hairline running from the centre towards number 10 but it is difficult to see with the naked eye. The watch comes in a new presentation box. All Prices Include UK Postage.
